Dear friends! In August 2007, at the meeting of former water skiers, we decided to open a private water ski club «Sentosa».

In fact, we laid the foundation of a new, strong water ski school in Dnepropetrovsk; Water ski sport was very powerful in the past in Dnepropetrovsk. For example, in 1980 there were 5 water ski schools in Dnepropetrovsk. At the city competitions performed up to 50 participants of different ages and levels. Gradually, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, existing sports clubs in Nikolayev, Odessa, Kharkov, Lvov, Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev and Kremenchug collapsed also. Facilities were destroyed, water ski stadiums were damaged, coaches found new jobs. 

In order to put new life in this kind of sport, we organized water ski club «Sentosa», recruited the first set of young skiers and invited coaches from Belarus. On the restored water ski stadium we built summer base, which allows living on it and even store special equipment such as boats, suits, boards, skies etc. Also it has lifts for boats, commercial buildings. We use only professional boats, trails, ski jump and deal with leading manufacturers.

I hope that the efforts we made to restore water ski sports in Dnepropetrovsk will resonate with the public in other regions of Ukraine. From our side we are ready to provide assistance and support to all, who decide to develop this wonderful sport in their cities.
